Here in the high country we could through periods of time where we see moose almost daily, and then after the fall rut, it can be hit and miss for months. I was out for a drive Sunday afternoon and decided to check out one of my usual spots, not expecting to see anything at high noon, but to my surprise, I came across two bull moose as they were moving through the snow covered forest. It was quite challenging to photograph them as they moved through all the trees, but I managed to come away with a few keepers and liked how he was framed by the aspens in this one. And of course, I was simply delighted to know that they are still hanging around the area.

I LOVE the outdoors, and the mountains are my happy place. Many years ago, we visited the Canadian Rockies, and we instantly fell in love with what the mountains have to offer, from breathtaking scenery to countless wildlife opportunities.
