You just can't beat early mornings at Moraine Lake....long before most people are out of bed and the tour buses arrive, one is able to enjoy the peace, quiet, and solitude it has to offer. I know this area has been photographed to death, but it's hard to resist another shot or two especially when the sun comes up in the east, kisses those majestic peaks, and casts some of the most breathtaking reflections around. Add to that, a group of colorful canoes, sitting so still in the early morning light, and it's no wonder the Valley of the Ten Peaks is a favorite :-)

I LOVE the outdoors, and the mountains are my happy place. Many years ago, we visited the Canadian Rockies, and we instantly fell in love with what the mountains have to offer, from breathtaking scenery to countless wildlife opportunities. I remember traveling through a small town in British Columbia, Radium Hot Springs, where the sign that welcomes you to town says, “Mountains bring peace to the people.”. That quote and John Muir’s quote, “The mountains are calling and I must go” have resonated with me ever since.
