Lots of people have been worried and praying that all the wildlife, including our beloved moose, made it out of the fire zones safely. And many have been wondering whether they will return to the burned areas or find a new home. Research suggests that these magnificent creatures actually thrive in burned areas which is great news. Only time will tell.
I LOVE the outdoors, and the mountains are my happy place. Many years ago, we visited the Canadian Rockies, and we instantly fell in love with what the mountains have to offer, from breathtaking scenery to countless wildlife opportunities. I remember traveling through a small town in British Columbia, Radium Hot Springs, where the sign that welcomes you to town says, “Mountains bring peace to the people.”. That quote and John Muir’s quote, “The mountains are calling and I must go” have resonated with me ever since. Whether it's shooting landscapes or wildlife, I find such a sense of peace and solitude just being there in the moment. Nourishment for the soul....a reminder for me that life is good.
