Artist's Description
We had just finished a hike to Lake Agnes and Little Beehive from the Lake Louise area and returned to the Fairmont Chateau for our daily dose of ice cream. It was mid-afternoon, the lighting was harsh, there were tourists everywhere, but I couldn't resist a shot of all these gorgeous flowers with Victoria Glacier as a backdrop. The manicured and landscaped lawn surrounding Lake Louise is an incredible sight to see if and of itself.

I LOVE the outdoors, and the mountains are my happy place. Many years ago, we visited the Canadian Rockies, and we instantly fell in love with what the mountains have to offer, from breathtaking scenery to countless wildlife opportunities. I remember traveling through a small town in British Columbia, Radium Hot Springs, where the sign that welcomes you to town says, “Mountains bring peace to the people.”. That quote and John Muir’s quote, “The mountains are calling and I must go” have resonated with me ever since.
